Legal assistance

Monetary assistance for an initial legal consultation is available for members relating to termination, constructive dismissal, working notice or severance, if the request is approved by the Board of Directors. Employees requesting assistance are to complete the Legal Assistance Application and email or mail it to the CEMA Executive Coordinator.

If requested, CEMA directors may accompany a member to provide moral support in negotiations with regard to salary, sick benefits, retirement, leave of absence, suspension, dismissal, and other employer/employee related issues. Members may ask for guidance or interpretation on the various rights and privileges available to CEMA members from any board director.
