Supporting ECECAF

PERMANENT Management and out-of-scope staff may voluntarily contribute to the Edmonton Civic Employees Charitable Assistance Fund (ECECAF). You MUST opt into CEMA in order to join ECECAF. The deduction is 1/4 of 1% of salary. 75% of the contributions go to charitable organizations and 25% to educational bursaries and other special needs of its members or dependents. A CEMA Board member serves on the ECECAF Board of Trustees.

CEMA membership and ECECAF membership are separate choices. You must choose to join ECECAF immediately when you enter management ranks and be a CEMA member. Once you make your choice (to belong or not to ECECAF), you may not join later or drop your membership during your employment. The forms and brochure should be provided to you at sign-on.

Scholarships are provided to contributing members’ children entering post secondary education. If eligibility criteria is met (see the Guidelines and Form), scholarships are provided for two consecutive terms.

ECECAF supports many community charities. Check out the most recent list of community charities that ECECAF supports.
