Donations

Charitable donations

CEMA will review requests for charitable donations to community organizations using the following criteria:

  • The organization must be not-for-profit and based in Edmonton.
  • The cause must have widespread appeal to CEMA members.
  • The donation must be a one-time commitment.

CEMA does not donate to:

  • individuals looking for sponsorship for fundraising activities,
  • political organizations or campaigns,
  • events after the fact, or
  • requests for ongoing support.

CEMA may provide a $50 donation to a charitable organization in lieu of a speaker’s gift on behalf of speakers at CEMA luncheons and professional development events.

Requests for charitable donations must be in writing and must include details about the receiving organization, its registered charitable number and how the funds will be spent. Please direct requests to the CEMA Executive Coordinator.
