For members’ families

CEMA recognizes the important role of families in ensuring members are healthy, happy, productive professionals. The following services support CEMA members’ families.

Share some free time, fun and frolics with other CEMA members and their families! The CEMA Events Committee plans events through the year to delight every member of your family. Bookmark Meetings & Events for dates of upcoming family events.

Children/dependents of CEMA members who opt in to contribute to the Edmonton Civic Employees Charitable Assistance Fund (ECECAF) are eligible to apply for a scholarship to any designated post-secondary institution. For eligibility requirements and the application form please visit the ECECAF website.

Should a CEMA member suffer the death of a spouse/partner, child/ward, or parents and have been a CEMA member for over one year,  CEMA shall arrange and send one of the following (Maximum value of $50 including GST):

  • Floral arrangement; or
  • Donation to a charitable organization

Should a CEMA member suffer the death of a more distant relative, CEMA will arrange for a card to be sent to the member.
